In 1988, the first Pizza Pipeline restaurant was opened in
Spokane, Washington, using a unique variation of a common
product. The Pizza Pipeline, Inc. has opened additional
restaurants and is franchised in several states.
The Pizza
Pipeline is a delivery / carry-out restaurant dealing primarily
with pizza. Freshly made dough offered in several sizes are
available with many different sauces and twenty-five assorted
items including Chicken, Artichoke Hearts and Cashews. In
addition to this, many combination pizzas ranging from "The
Pizza Pipeline Sample," to our Lettuce, Sour Cream, and Tomato
topped "Chicken Fajita" are offered. For those with a sweet
tooth, we have "Sweetza Pizzas" such as our "Chocolate Peanut
Butter Delight" and our "Apple Cream Cheese Swirl."
The Pizza Pipeline was founded on the slogan that "Quality Is
Our #1 Product". Our restaurants have received numerous awards
and our pizzas and sub sandwiches have been voted the best by
nationally recognized restaurant organizations.
Since 1988 we
have developed a loyal and increasing consumer base. We
attribute this to strong customer service and quality products.
Through volume purchasing and operational efficiencies we keep
costs low.
To accompany a pizza purchase, we also sell sub sandwiches,
cheese bread, chicken products, and our own specialty bread
sticks trademarked as "Tricky Stix." We are currently working on
additional items for use as revenue builders.
We supply free sodas with every pizza and sub sandwich
purchase as an ongoing promotional campaign. We offer party
packet discounts and several other specialized customer
incentives to keep our clientele retention.

Q. Why should I invest in a franchise?
A. All of the preliminary work needed to start up a
business has already been done for you. The most important part
is that the concept has been proven to work, using considerable
time and expense.
Q. Do I need large financial resources and is assistance
supplied?
A. We have low franchise fees. That is why this is an ideal
business for anyone with limited liquid assets who wishes to
start a business and wants a lot of room to grow. Equipment,
building expenses, and cash on hand will average approximately
$150,000. The Pizza Pipeline doesn't offer financial assistance,
but there are lending institutions that will work with investors
who qualify.
Q. What are my basic financial obligations?
A. Your initial fee is $20,000 for your first store, or
$47,500 for a three-store commitment. Your franchise agreement
lasts 10 years and may be renewed as long as certain conditions
are met. You pay a monthly fee off of your gross sales of
approximately 5% plus an additional 1.5% that goes toward a
national advertising and development fund. These fees cover the
time and expense involved in the overseeing and operation of the
total Pizza Pipeline organization. You are also required to
invest a minimum of 3% of your monthly gross sales in local
advertising.
Q. Is fast
food experience required?
A. Past fast food experience is not necessary, but a strong
desire to succeed and a hard working attitude are. Our company
has grown and prospered due to the desire and motivation of its
team members and management. That has always been the most
important factor of our success, as we're sure it will continue
to be.
Q. What kind of support can I expect once I decide to
become a franchisee?
A. We already have a franchise support system in place that
contains site selection criteria, minimum four-week training
school, comprehensive operations and employee manuals, national
purchasing assistance programs, and marketing and grand opening
support. We have an ongoing research and development program,
product seminars, and special merchandise allowances and
rebates. The national advertising and development fund is used
in the support of advertising and the developing of projects to
expand the market share for The Pizza Pipeline and its products.
