Your privacy is of extreme importance to FranchiseTrade.com. Your name and contact information will only be used to provide information to you that you have requested.

Business Know-How and Franchise Trade do not collect any personally-identifiable information about you unless you decide to provide that information to us. If you decide to purchase a product, sign up for a newsletter, request more information from us, request information be sent to you, or list your business in our online directory, we will ask you to provide information such as your name, email address, phone number, and other additional information so that we can respond to your request. You are not required to provide this information, however the services we can offer you may be limited without it. We use this information solely as required to respond to your particular request and to improve both the usability of our site and our user support procedures.

The following information discloses how information you provide is used.

Franchise Information Requests:

Each franchise listing on the site includes a form you can fill out to request information about that specific franchise. When you fill out such a form, the information you provide goes to the specific franchise from which you have requested information.

In addition, there is also a general information request form you may complete to have information sent to you from multiple franchises. If you complete that form, your contact information will be provided to various franchisors whose opportunities might be of interest to you.

Newsletter Subscriptions

FranchiseTrade plans to publish a newsletter periodically. The newsletter will contain information about franchising and ads from franchisors. We do not rent or sell the names of our newsletter subscribers, so the only way a franchisor will get your email address or other contact information is if you respond to their ads on our site or in our newsletter.

You will only receive the newsletter if you use the "Subscribe" link to sign up for a subscription. To assure our readers really want to get the newsletter, there is a "double-opt-in" procedure. That means that once you enter your email to subscribe, you'll get an email confirming your subscription. You must reply to that confirmation email in order to have your name included as a subscriber to the free email newsletter. 

On occasion we may sent out "solo" mailings on behalf of our advertisers. But when we do, the advertisers never see your email address unless you respond to the ad. They send us their ad, and we send the ad out to our distribution list.
